sickle cell is a genetic disease condition. its usually passed from parents who are carriers to offspring’s. the child inherits two abnormal gene from both parents. the most common form of sickle cell anemia is caused by homozygosity for the B-globin S gene mutation. due to this condtion there is no enough healthy red blood cell to carry adequate oxygen through the body.
